The mind is the battlefield where the enemy will try to plant thoughts to cause us great distress. However, we do not have to allow our thoughts to control us. We can successfully regulate our thinking and put our mind at ease by asking the Holy Spirit to help us in our time of need!
regulate- to control something, especially by making it work in a particular way:
Romans 8:6-8
For to be [a]carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 Because the [b]carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. 8 So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
Proverbs 23:7
For as he thinks in his heart, so is he [in behavior—one who manipulates]. He says to you, “Eat and drink,” Yet his heart is not with you [but it is
begrudging the cost].
Hebrew 4:14-16
Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven,[f] Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. 15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin. 16 Let us then approachGod’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
