Since 2004 over 2500 personal care packs have been distributed both nationally and internationally.
I’d like to introduce Operation Love. Operation Love is an outreach ministry that began December 25th, 2004. It’s mission is to share the love and compassion of Jesus Christ globally through acts of kindness to those who are sometimes forgotten especially during, the holiday season.
Our ministry focus has been on providing support to senior citizens in the Tampa community by providing them with a gift bag filled with personal care items and personal home visits on Christmas day. The volunteers go out on Christmas day and bring a little Christmas joy to them. It’s amazing to see the joy in their eyes when we place a gift, donated by our family and friends, into their hands! They are always very grateful for the gifts and the visit.
In addition to that, we also have the opportunity to distribute personal care packs to those individuals in downtown Tampa that have no home or family to share the Christmas season with. Thankfully, we are also able to pray with them and share the message and love of Jesus Christ!
As a result, of your generous donations last year, we were able to m98inister to over 250 men and women throughout the Tampa Bay area on Christmas Day. Each person was given a personal care gift pack, along with a New Testament Bible. In addition to that, we were able to provide free clothes, shoes and food to the homeless. The outreach teams were able to minister to several people in need of prayer and other community resources.
Even more, a generous donations from our supportive partners and friends allowed us to provide food and clothing to families in need during, the holiday season. Our faithful volunteers distributed thirty-six additional gift bags to more senior citizens within our community and abroad.
This Christmas, we intend to continue with our mission to share the love and compassion of Jesus Christ to more hurting people. Therefore,we need the support of the community via donated goods, volunteer time, etc to help us share the love and compassion if Jesus Christ this holiday season. We are accepting donations until December 23th. The donation list can include, but is not limited to: tube socks, soap, deodorant, toothpaste, mouthwash, lotion, non-perishable food items, blankets, word search puzzle books. Volunteers are also needed to help prepare the gift bags on December 23rd at 4:00p.m. We are counting on your support. Please help make this Christmas outreach a success and a blessing to others by making a donation to Hope 1 Ministries in support of Operation Love. Please contact Monica Tucker at 813-237-2055 if you’d like to make a donation.
Sincerely,
Monica Tucker
