Hello,We kindly ask you to please review the information below as to how you may help Operation Love, help families and individuals in need during this Holiday season and through out the year. Small acts of kindness can make a big difference! We thank you for your time and attention concerning this matter.I have found that among its other benefits, giving liberates the soul of the giver.”–Maya AngelouOPERATION LOVE
Together we can make a difference in our CommunityTo Our Dear Friends and Family:I’d like to introduce Operation Love. Operation Love is an outreach program started in 2004 by Elite International Salon. Its mission is to demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ through small acts of kindness to those who are sometimes forgotten, especially during the Christmas season. The focus has been on providing support to senior citizens in the Tampa community by providing them with personal care items. The volunteers go out on Christmas day and bring a little Christmas joy to them. It’s amazing to see the joy in their eyes when we place a gift, donated by the salon’s clients and others, in their hands! They are always very grateful for the gift and the visit. We also had the opportunity to give gift bags to those individuals in downtown Tampa that have no home or family to share the Christmas season with. Thankfully, we were also able to pray with them and share the message of the love of Jesus Christ! With your generous donations last year, we were able to minister to 170 men and women in the downtown Tampa Bay area on Christmas Day. Each person was given a personal care gift pack, along with a New Testament Bible. In addition to that, we were able to provide free clothes, shoes and food to the homeless. And the outreach team was able to minister to several people in need of prayer and other community resources.Even more, a generous donation from Brooks Debartlo Collegiate High School (SAC) allowed us to provide fourteen turkeys to families in need, during the holiday season. And several volunteers distributed beautiful gift bags to six seniors in a local assisted living facility. Also twenty-four additional gift bags were distributed to more senior citizens within our community and abroad. This Christmas, we intend to continue in our outreach, and are in need of the support of the community via donated goods, volunteer time, etc. We are accepting donations until December 20th. The Donation list can include, but is not limited to:tube socks, soap, deodorant, toothpaste, mouthwash, lotion, non-perishable food items, blankets, word search puzzle books. Volunteers are also needed to help prepare the gift bags on December 22 at 3:00 p.m. We are counting on your support. Please help make this event a success and a blessing to others by making a donation to Operation Love. Please contact Monica Tucker at 813-237-2055 if you’d like to make a donation.Sincerely,Monica Tucker
