Volunteer Highlights

Hope 1 Ministry’s partnership with the Fresh Wind Gathering 2025

Hope 1 Ministry’s partnership with the Fresh Wind Gathering 2025 community outreach in Fort Myers, Florida, was a successful labor of love. With the help of donations and volunteers, we were able to assist two nonprofit organizations in the area.

Our first visit was to Sam’s Community Café & Kitchen and the Community Market operated by the Community Cooperative. We donated peanut butter and jelly for their End Summer Hunger Hungry Kiddo Kits—grab-and-go meal kits filled with nutritious, easy-to-eat foods designed to keep kids in Southwest Florida full and healthy while school is out. This organization runs a well-structured community facility that offers a welcoming space where anyone in need can enjoy a hot, nutritious meal in a safe and respectful environment. In 2024, they provided over two million pounds of food to support our neighbors in need.

In addition to the generous donations from our volunteers and partners, we also help pack beverages on-site for the Meals on Wheels program. This program provides daily, nutritious home-delivered meals along with a friendly visit and safety check to eligible homebound neighbors who cannot shop or cook for themselves. These neighbors include seniors, individuals with disabilities, and adults with chronic illnesses. They may receive meals temporarily while recovering from an illness or surgery, or long-term to support their ability to live safely and independently in their homes. Our second serve opportunity involved a special visit to St. Matthew’s House to provide clothing and personal care items for the women’s shelter onsite. St. Matthew’s House expresses God’s love in Southwest Florida, and we are growing to ensure that no one experiencing hunger, homelessness, or addiction is alone or without a pathway for their journey from crisis to contributor. Operation Love: Our mission is to help as many individuals in need as possible by demonstrating the love and compassion of Jesus Christ. We engage with the community through humanitarian efforts and active community involvement.

BRINGING HOPE!

God’s compassion shined through the volunteers and gave new hope to those who so desperately needed it. And it all began with a desire in the hearts the volunteers to be a instrument of His love. Alexander McLaren said, “You tell the depth of a Christian’s compassion, and I will tell you the measure of His usefulness.”

tHANK YOU FOR HelpING us make a difference in University Area!

This winter break, Hope 1 Ministries provided Snack Pak 4 Kids to help fight food insecurities when students are out of school. Many students experience food insecurities during the weekend and often don’t know how they will get their next meal. This is where Hope 1 Ministries assists those families to guarantee these children don’t go hungry.

THANK YOU for making the mission of this organization possible. Without you, this important work and transformational change could not be achieved. We’re thankful to have you as part of our team! We look forward to continued growth and collaboration in the future!

“Without community service, we would not have a strong quality of life. It’s important to the person who serves as well as the recipient. It’s the way in which we ourselves grow and develop.”

Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and that the Master you are serving is Christ.
