Exodus 14:21–31- Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and all that night the Lord drove the sea back with a strong east wind and turned it into dry land. The waters were divided…
There are moments in life when God does not just lead us forward—He brings us through. The Israelites stood at the edge of the sea, facing what looked like an impossible situation. But God was already making a way. What seemed like an ending became a beginning. What looked like a barrier became a pathway. And what looked like fear became faith in motion.
But one of the most important truths in this passage is this:
They still had to walk through it.
The miracle was not passive. It required participation.
As we close this journey through Exodus in GROW, we see a full picture forming:
- God provides
- God leads
- God calls us forward
- God makes a way
But we respond. We trust. We move. We follow. We walk through.
Closing Reflection
This is what formation looks like: Not just seeing God work—but becoming people who trust Him while He works.
When God delivers you through an Exodus Experience, do what great leaders of the past have done—remember to praise Him.

Reflections: Though you may be between a rock and a hard place, it is also imperative to remember two additional things. Paul tells us to always rejoice—why? Because the Psalmist tells us that God is at work in you and in your circumstances. When you remember that God is in control, realize that He has placed you right where you are, and rejoice in His presence, you have a strong foundation for your Exodus Experience.
Prayer: Dear Lord Jesus, You have been and always will be our Champion! Thank you for delivering us from our sins and guiding us into a new season. We prophesy that in this new season, we will see more goodness from You, we will witness miracles like never before! You’ve won all the battles and will never fail! We surrender our plans and our hearts into Your hands. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
