So, the people took their dough before it was leavened, their kneading bowls being bound up in their clothes on their shoulders. Exodus 12:34
Grace and Peace 🌱
The Israelites took their dough before it was ready. They carried kneading bowls wrapped in cloth. They moved…with what they had.
Reflection
It wasn’t perfect. It wasn’t prepared. But it was obedient.
Real-Life Connection (Hope 1)
This is where many of us are. We think courage has to look big.
But most of the time…
👉 It looks like small steps.
- Showing up
- Following through
- Doing what God said, even when it feels simple
Formation Insight
God forms us in the small things. Because if we overlook the small…
👉 We miss the foundation of what He is building.
Activation
Today, honor the small.
👉 Do one simple thing God has already placed before you.
Closing Thought
The small things you carry in obedience…
👉 Matter more than you think.
🌿 Stay faithful
🌿 Stay consistent
🌿 Stay attentive
“God, I will be faithful here.”

Reflection Questions
- What small act of obedience are you overlooking?
- Where are you waiting for something “bigger” before you move?
Prayer: Thank You for meeting me in the ordinary moments of my life. Help me not to overlook the small things or treat them as insignificant. Give me eyes to see what You see and a heart that values what You value.
Teach me to be faithful in what is right in front of me—even when it feels unnoticed, repetitive, or small. When I am tempted to rush ahead, slow me down.
When I feel overlooked, remind me that You see me fully. When I question if it matters, anchor me in Your truth.
Shape my character in the hidden places.
Build consistency in me. Strengthen my obedience in quiet moments. I trust that nothing done with You is wasted.
Use these small acts to prepare me
for what You have ahead—not just in what I do, but in who I am becoming. Today, I choose faithfulness. In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
What feels small to you
may actually be sacred stewardship to God.
