Exodus 12:40–42-Now the length of time the Israelite people lived in Egypt[b] was 430 years. 41 At the end of the 430 years, to the very day, all the Lord’s divisions left Egypt.42 Because the Lord kept vigil that night to bring them out of Egypt, on this night all the Israelites are to keep vigil to honor the Lord for the generations to come
At the end of this moment, Scripture pauses to remember: God did not forget His people. The timing, the waiting, and the movement all had purpose.
Remembering is part of formation.
When we remember what God has already done, we gain courage for what He is still doing.
This is how faith is strengthened — not only in expectation, but in reflection.
Courage grows when we remember that God has been faithful before this moment, and He will be faithful beyond it.
Formation is not a moment — it is a journey of trust, courage, and becoming who God is shaping us to be.
