None Suffered Lack

that there were no needy persons among them. For from time to time those who owned land or houses sold them, brought the money from the sales.

Acts 4 provides a powerful example of how we can use our money to serve others! In Acts 4:32-35, the early church shared their possessions so that none of their community was left in need. When we think about our finances as a tool for ministry, we open up so many possibilities for good. By managing our funds responsibly and with a heart of worship, we can support community service, missions, and those who need our help the most.

One striking proof of the greatness of the Divine grace that was upon the Church at this time was that there was no such thing as want or poverty among them. The equality typified in the daily collection of manna was literally fulfilled among them (2 Corinthians 8:14, 15); for the rich sold their houses and lands and laid the price of them at the apostles’ feet, to be used for the common wants. Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them and brought the prices of the things that were sold, True charity helps the need of the poor with its own loss, but in such a way that all things are done well and orderly. -Bible Hub

It’s amazing to think about how much of an impact we can have with our financial contributions. Whether we’re supporting a missionary, donating to a charity, or helping a struggling family, we’re making a difference in people’s lives and spreading the Gospel. So, you and I have the opportunity to manage our money in a way that allows us to use what we have in our bank accounts to further God’s kingdom.

And when we align our financial goals with God’s purpose, we actively participate in His work. It’s truly amazing to think about the eternal impact we can have just by being intentional with our money. So today, spend some time asking the Lord how you can be more intentional with your money, as an act of Worship, and for His glory!

Stewardship is never just about money; it’s about transformation – the transformation of our lives as we become God’s blessing in the lives of others, and the transformation of our churches into the very presence and power of Jesus in our communities.

Daily Actions & Reflections: Ask the Spirit to transform your attitude towards all you possess from ownership to stewardship. Listen to him as he identifies what he wants you to surrender fully to him. Ask him how you can be a transformative influence in your own church and community.

Daily Prayer: Father, Today I choose to offer my finances as a tool for Your service and ministry. Help me manage my money with the knowledge that it can be used to bless others and further Your kingdom. Show me opportunities where I can give and serve selflessly. May my money management be a reflection of Your love and grace. Give me wisdom with my finances and help me to make each decision with a heart of worship.
