Expect good things to happen to you today!

Even when there was no reason for hope, Abraham kept hoping—believing that he would become the father of many nations.

Romans 4:18 nlt

As we reflect Abraham’s faith, we are reminded of the simple truth that faith is what saves us. We are not saved by our intelligence or strength, but by our willingness to trust in God. That leap of faith takes us from where we are to where God wants us to be.

Abraham did not have the Bible like we do today, yet he trusted in God’s promises. He believed that God would provide and followed God’s lead without hesitation. David, too, had a deep trust in God, even in the face of great challenges and trials.

Today, we too are called to live by faith. We must trust in God and go wherever He leads us. We cannot try to put God in our plans; instead, we must follow His plans. In times of lack, we must trust that what God withholds is for our ultimate good. We must also be willing to relinquish what God takes from us, knowing that all we have belongs to Him. And when life is hard, we must be willing to suffer what God inflicts, knowing that He uses all things for our good and His glory. In all things, we must be willing to be what God requires of us, no matter the cost.

He was handed over to die because of our sins, and he was raised to life to make us right with God.

ROMANS 4:25 NLT

Today’s Action: What does living by faith mean to you? Are you willing to trust God’s plan for your life, even when it appears that it doesn’t make sense? Are you ready to follow wherever He leads you, no matter the cost?

Ask Him to reveal to you promises from the Word of God that will cause you to become more expectant of honor and preferential treatment. Promises such as, “I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him, and show him My salvation” (Psalm 91: 15-16). Expect good things to happen to you today.

Today’s Prayer: The eyes of my understanding are enlightened, and I am growing in the revelation knowledge of the favor and honor that are already mine because I serve Jesus.

Expect good things to happen to you today!
