Order Is God’s Design

Genesis 1:1-2 In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. 2 The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.

The battle between these two wages every day all around you. Things left to themselves fall into chaos. Order is obtained by design and effort. God brought order out of chaos during the creation of our planet. Genesis 1:1-2 God loves order. A quick glance at nature shows an orderly pattern. This order becomes more apparent the deeper you study creation. From the endless expanse of space to the smallest atom, God’s bias for order is clearly seen. He desires to help us create order out of our chaotic lives.

Here are four amazing points about order to help you understand what it is exactly and what makes it so appealing.

  • Order is Efficient- Order makes the business of daily life easier and more satisfying. We need order to accomplish what we set out to achieve, while too much disorder will hinder us from reaching our goals.
  • Order is a Refuge-A condition of being safe or sheltered from pursuit, danger, or trouble: A tidy home offers a retreat from a messy, confusing world.
    • Order is a Blessing- When we maintain order we look to each other’s interests as well as our own. Order affords us an opportunity to honor each other.
      • Order is God’s Design –Order was part of God’s plan all along. The Bible opens to the scene of God speaking order into chaos: When God began creating the heavens and the earth, the earth was a shapeless, chaotic mass, with the Spirit of God brooding over the dark vapors. Then God said, “Let there be light.” And light appeared. Genesis 1:1-3 (Living Bible). We were created in the image of an orderly God. As we share His likeness, we share his desire to make something better of a disordered world.

        In His Grace,

Daily Prayer: Lord, today I trust You with all my heart. I start by simply saying so. I choose to trust You with all the questions, decisions, and burdens in my life. You reign supreme, and You are in control of my life. I release all worries and fears to You. I know You got my back.

“Organization Isn’t About Perfection; It’s About Efficiency, Reducing Stress And Clutter, Saving Time And Money And Improving Your Overall Quality Of Life.”
