God shapes our hearts by the things we pray for.

The beginning point of prayer for Outreach is to focus on the point of it all … the Lost and those in Need. Prayer is the path to all successful Mission and Outreach.  Prayer can happen without doing Outreach, but Outreach will never happen without prayer. As we pray God will sensitize us to the plight, pain and struggles of those who need our assistance. Those who do not pray for His guidance might only be irritated and lose patience as they encounter the lost and those in need. It is only as we pray and follow the path of our faith that we learn to reach out in word and action. Only then will we truly be an Outreach Community of Faith. We ask for Your guidance and we do so in Your name, Our Lord Jesus Christ Amen

Monday: Mark 16:15 Almighty God, you gave Your people an assignment to fulfill here on earth. You said to them “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation. Lord, I pray that this will be the mission of Operation Love. I ask that You keep our hearts and minds open so that our ministry willingly seek to touch those outside the four walls of the church; those who do not know You, Amen.

Tuesday: Isaiah 61:1 Precious God, I thank You because Your Spirit is upon this church. Father, You have anointed and commissioned us to bring the good news to the humble and afflicted! You have sent me to bind up the wounds of the broken-hearted, to proclaim release to the captives and freedom to prisoners. Father in heaven, let Your Spirit remain in this ministry and amongst Your people so that we can touch the hearts of men; this is our prayer, Amen.

Wednesday: Romans 5:8 Prayer for Missionary Zeal Blessed Lord God, who by Your Son commanded me to go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature, increase my faith and zeal that I may more earnestly desire the salvation of all people. I confess that often my heart is cold and my ears are dull to Your mission cry. I have not deserved to be called to Your church and privileged to become Your messenger. Forgive my indifference for Jesus’ sake, and by Your Holy Spirit fill my heart with a burning zeal to bring the light of the everlasting Gospel to unbelievers—both at home and abroad. Give me a loving heart, sincerity of speech, and piety of life to adorn my Christian profession of faith. May I never by ungodly conduct or unbecoming speech give unbelievers an excuse for criticizing the Gospel of Christ. Knowing that this world is drawing to a close, may I by Your Spirit’s prompting support the mission program of my church with my personal witness, my earnest prayers, and my sacrificial gifts. Grant that through me many may be saved from the kingdom of darkness for the kingdom of Your light, through Jesus Christ, Your Son and our Lord. Amen.

Thursday: Ephesians 6:19-20 Prayer for the Ability to Witness Lord, I thank You for saving faith and Your promise of eternal life. Make me ever grateful for these blessings and increase my willingness to serve You, especially to witness to Your gracious love for all sinners. I pray dear Lord, support me with Your power as I witness to others. Too often I have missed opportunities to speak for You. Forgive me where I have failed. Help me see opportunities for witnessing, and give me the courage to speak up. Increase my concern for lost souls and my desire to witness; strengthen me according to my great need. Lord, I often don’t know what to say, but You know. I am weak and afraid, but You are strong. Make Your love my love; Your words my words; and Your strength my strength. Help me speak the right word at the right time, and with all Your children on earth help me to go forth to new victories for You. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Friday: Acts 4:12 Prayer for the Unconverted Jesus, Lover of souls, Shepherd of all who stray and make mistakes, you do not desire that any should perish but that all people might be saved from sin and come to a knowledge of the truth. I come to You on behalf of my friends who still live without hope in this world and who have closed their hearts and lives to Your gracious invitation. Grant that they may come and find rest and peace for their souls. Give me the grace to use every opportunity by word and conduct to bear witness to You and Your love. May my decisions and interests show my associates that I put You first in my life and thought. May my behavior at all times reveal Your gracious presence in me. Make me thoughtful, considerate, helpful and patient in their presence. Open the eyes of my family, friends, neighbors and co-workers to see the wonders of Your love, the blessedness of belonging to You, and the joy and satisfaction that service rendered to You gives each day. Abide with me, and bless each effort of mine to win souls for You, most honorable Savior and Friend.

Saturday: Galatians 5:13 Hallelujah God Almighty! We have been set free by You! We rejoice and are glad in this truth. Yes, the church was called to be free, but I pray that we do not use our freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love. I pray that Your love is our guide and motivation for outreach. Let this not be an opportunity for the self to indulge but let the spirit within us be sharpened to do more for Your Kingdom, Amen. to open their eyes, so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.’

Sunday: Acts 26:18 Heavenly Father, thank You for opening my eyes to the truth of the gospel of grace and for bringing me into the family of God. Thank You that I have been forgiven of my sin and am among those who have been sanctified by faith in Christ. Lord, there are many whose eyes are blinded to the truth and who remain trapped in the dominion of Satan. I pray that the eyes of their heart would be opened to receive the truth of the gospel. Thank You for the life and witness of Paul, and I pray that You would use me as a light in this darkened world and a witness to the truth of the gospel of Jesus, in Whose name I pray, AMEN. To open their eyes, so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.’
