Be Kind and Compassionate

In a world that has felt upside down for a while, it has become easy to get grumpy and less patient with others. Feelings of bitterness and unforgiveness have marked people’s behaviors, and when we read the news, we shake our heads wondering.

Kindness and compassion go hand in hand. We are called to be aware of others around us and how we might encourage and help. Think of all the good we can do if we simply imagine, “How can I add value to someone else’s life today?” It’s about relationships, and our relationship with God is the most important one in life.

As we imitate Christ, we learn that kindness is not optional for believers. It is a call to obedience. When we live fully in kindness to one another, we are saying thank-you to God.

A Prayer for Today

Dear God, thank you for your example in how you have treated us with great mercy and kindness. Help us to model your gracious kindness to others. Forgive us when we fall short and remind us to try again. Amen.

Are you ready to receive God’s forgiveness and start a new life with Christ?

God promised that for those who believe in Jesus, there is no condemnation. He sent Jesus to save you from your sin. His death on the cross paid for every wrong you’ve ever done or will do. And by sacrificing himself for your sins and

giving you his righteousness, Jesus made it possible for you to have a relationship with God the Father.

The good news doesn’t stop there. God also raised Jesus from the dead, proving his power over sin and death. And that makes it possible for you to spend eternity with him in heaven.

If you’re ready to surrender your life to Jesus Christ, start by praying this simple prayer: “Dear God, I know I’m a sinner, and I ask for your forgiveness. I believe Jesus Christ is your Son. I believe that he died for my sins and that you raised him to life. I want to trust him as my Savior and follow him as Lord from this day forward. Guide my life and help me to do your will. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.”

DAILY DEVOTION – HOPE4ME ( The Word of God is like a lamp that provides light in a darkened room. When its truths are embraced, it shines light into every sphere of life, bringing understanding and enlightenment and eradicating the ignorance that governs darkened minds. The Scriptures are God’s lamp to give continuous light to a people or society that would lie in darkness if the source of that light was removed. Only the light of God’s Word drives away spiritual darkness — which is why demonic forces hate the Light and the Light-bearers! We invite you to join us for this week’s devotional as we dive into God’s Word together and learn how to live victoriously for him!  DAILY DEVOTION – HOPE4ME (

Be Kind and Compassionate

Memory Verse:   Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you. Ephesians 4:32

God is all mercy and grace— not quick to anger, is rich in love. God is good to one and all; everything he does is soaked through with grace.
