Join Us for National Day of Prayer
On Thursday, May 5th, 2022, we welcome you to join us for a time of fasting with prayer. This is a community fasting and prayer time, and open for families and friends to get involved. So, whether you are a seasoned prayer warrior or a new believer in Christ. We hope that you will join in and pray with us as we commune with God through prayer. But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit. “Less is more here, since you’re trying to get people to visit your site. (Jeremiah 17:7-8NIV)
Grace and Peace,

Why Am I fasting?
A. The bible teaches us to fast and pray. It’s not a thing of the past. It’s a thing of the present.
B. Deepen my relationship with God. In doing so, I hope to: Have renewed vision for the future. See where God is leading you in 2021. Increase prayer time.
Benefits of fasting
1. It breaks bad habits. I’ve gotten very lax in my ‘diet’ over the last few months. This is a great way to boost me back to healthy eating again.
2. Health benefits. It rids your body of chemicals, toxins and sugars. This is a great thing.
3. Less hungering after food, more hungering after God and his truths.
4. It refocuses our priorities, which should always start with Jesus Christ.
5. Scripture reference: Isaiah 58:6-7. Paraphrased in the Message bible: Christian fasting, at its root, is the hunger of a homesickness for God. https://hope14me.org/sunday-inspiration/
