A different kind of Love

20200525_080610_00001093679844.pngIn Mathew 5:1-10 (ESV), The recordings of The Sermon on the Mount Jesus begins challenge the beliefs, values, and attitudes of His time with a new way to live and think, in the message He brings forth during, the Sermon on The Mount.
Our focus verse for this week will be

  • Mathews 5:7(ESV), Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.
    Gloss: blessed (receiving God’s favor), fortunate, good (in a position of favor), … Definition: happy, blessed, , as a noun it can depict someone who receives divine favor, Mt. 5:3, …
    To act kindly and impart benefits to the one being blessed. Great example from scripture:
  • Luke 1:39-45(ESV) In those days Mary arose and went with haste into the hill country, to a town in Judah, 40 and she entered the house of Zechariah and greeted Elizabeth.41 And when Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, the baby leaped in her womb. And Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit, 42 and she exclaimed with a loud cry, “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb! 43 And why is this granted to me that the mother of my Lord should come to me? 44 For behold, when the sound of your greeting came to my ears, the baby in my womb leaped for


You will achieve more in this world through acts of mercy than you will through acts of retribution.
