BE STRONG

endure

Timothy, my dear son, be strong through the grace that God gives you in Christ Jesus. 2 You have heard me teach things that have been confirmed by many reliable witnesses. Now teach these truths to other trustworthy people who will be able to pass them on to others. Endure suffering along with me, as a good soldier of Christ

II Timothy 2:2-3

Endure until the End

Oftentimes, when facing adversity the most pressing thing on our minds is “Lord when will this all end or we say, “Lord how long will this last”. Because, if truth be told who wants to suffer and have to endure some fiery trial. The pain can be so unbearable during times like these. Until, you want to throw your hands up and quit.  However, today in II Timothy 2:3 we see Paul exhorting Timothy to be strong in the grace that God gives us in Christ Jesus and to endure suffering as a good soldier in Christ. As he to was experiencing fear while facing adversity.

Many of us are facing adversities today and we may find it hard to be strong and keep the faith. But we are to be encouraged as Paul was encouraging Timothy to be strong and remain a faithful servant of the Gospel. We also can be strong in the grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The one who has all power and all authority. We are his children and He will never leave us to face adversity alone. We are to be like the soldier on the battle field ready and equip to stand firm in the victory that has been won for every believer in Christ. With God on our side and His grace empowering us daily. We can take encouragement in the face of adversity from Paul and the scriptures. Though war may rage all around us we will not fear. We will remain confident in the Lord (His word) and in the power of His might!!

Grace & Peace
