LET IT BE LOVE-Part 2

Picture1We say that walking in love is hard work, especially toward  those we do not like.  But do we ever ponder the thought of what it was like for Christ to walk among his  own people being rejected, despised and crucified.   Nonetheless, it would be His blood, shed on the cross for their transgressions that would save their lives from destruction.

Even more, his very own disciples would abandon and desert  Him. Against all of the rejection and pain it did not prevent  His willingness to sacrifice His life to save them from their sins. (John 3:16). Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not (3John 3:1).

Further more, He gives us John 15, a narrative of the love and devotion He had for His disciples.   As Jesus prepared for His departure.  He left us a great example of the love we too should have for one another as followers of Christ.

Christ model for the entire world to see    a new way to live.  But more importantly, a new way to love.  He demonstrated a love that could melt the hardest heart among Him.

Now, if Christ demonstrated a greater love by way of the cross of Calvary. With the help of the Holy Spirit we can too can love others as the scriptures has  commanded us to do.  I have told you these things so that My joy may be in you and your joy may be complete. This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.  Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.…(John 15:11-13).

I’m thankful for the fact, that even when I was in sin Christ died for me.  Though many  times  I have given up on God but God  has never given up on me.  If you are grateful for the love Christ has freely given to you,  as he has let us take seriously the commandment that Christ left for us to follow.  And begin to  love one another as He so perfectly did  for the entire world.

I believe today, Christ is reminding us  of His love towards us.  And His Christ love for the entire world.  He no longer calls us servants but friends.  We did not choose Him but He chose us to go and bear much fruit and that our fruit would remain.  Praise God for the unconditional self sacrificing love of Jesus Christ!  As a reminder for today, let us be encourage by the scriptures to practice daily what Christ has commanded us to do.   Though it may be challenging at times to do.  However,  as believers in Christ we can depend on Him to help us in our time of need.     Let us pray for one another daily as we continue to grow and become more and more like Jesus Christ in our every day lives.

Grace & Peace,

M. T.

We pray for unity among those that love you.  We pray that you open their eyes so that they can see your truth Lord. We pray for your hand of protection and guidance in all that we do or say.  In Jesus Name, Amen!
