Only Believe

The Purpose of John’s Gospelapeacehea

Do you believe?  When it”s all said and done how much of the Bible do we really believe. Thomas needed evidence before he would even believe that Jesus had risen from the dead.  I can only imagine the anguish and disappointment he must have felt after Jesus death.  Now, he was to believe that he was alive!  It’s easy have faith when things are good.  But can our faith be unwavering when testing times show up.  Where are you today in your faith walk today?  Have the challenges of life caused you to doubt God’s ability and power to move on your behalf or are you trusting  Him with the challenges you are facing today?  The circumstances that seem impossible to fix are saying one thing But But the powerful word of God is saying otherwise.  In my opinion, I believe Jesus doesn’t discourage us to ask questions.  However,  He does encourage us as He did with Thomas to examine and see for your self,   Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe John 20:27.”  I pray that we find ourselves before God repenting of any ounce of doubt and begin again to trust Him with everything we have!  Thomas said to him, “My Lord and my God!”   “Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed;blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”  Let’s reignite our faith and believe again and experience the blessings of God in our lives.

The Purpose of John’s Gospel

30 Jesus performed many other signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book. 31 But these are written that you may believe[b] that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.
