“The wicked flee though no one pursues, but the righteous are as bold as a lion.” -Proverbs 28:1
God calls us to follow Him boldly, without fear. Boldness toward God is not based on our achievements but on what Jesus has already done for us. Through His blood, we have been given access – open, unhindered, confident access – to our Heavenly Father.
Isaiah 41:10 instructs us not to fear, repeating this message twice, and provides five reasons for this reassurance. These reasons include God’s presence, our covenant relationship with Him, His strengthening power, His decisive help, and His sustaining grip.
Because the Lord Himself stands with us, for us, and supports us, fear loses its foothold, and faith is strengthened. God is our protector, and we have nothing to fear. Even though we may feel threatened and the stakes seem high. However, God says. I will guide you to my safe space. It is a place where you can find rest. I have gathered everything you need here. Can you envision this place? Can you imagine what I would provide for you? Can you see where I am?”
“In this place, you can be restored. You come to me and are restored. And restoration is not what you think it is, for you have a limited view of it. To be restored, all that is tarnished is wiped clean. From the inside out, I bring hope, peace, and joy to your soul. I resurrect the memories you’ve tucked away, too difficult to bear, and breathe new life into them. I create a new storyline from the remnants of the past you are reluctant to revisit.” Isaiah 41:10-13 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. “All who rage against you will surely be ashamed and disgraced; those who oppose you will be as nothing and perish. Though you search for your enemies, you will not find them. Those who wage war against you will be as nothing at all. For I am the LORD your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you
Saint Augustine said, “God loves each of us as if there were only one of us.” God wants you to know that He loves you, that you are His favorite, even though He has billions and billions of favorites, and that He is enamored with you. God’s love is for all humankind — and for each kind of human.

Prayer: Jesus, You say You are my protector, and I have nothing to fear. I break the agreement that I must protect myself. I often forget that You are with me in every moment, creating opportunities for me to experience You and deepen my love for You.
Lead me to the safe place You’ve created for me. Remind me to rest in You, knowing You have everything I need. Help me envision this place and see You right here and now. Amen.
