Embracing God’s Love and Identity in Christ

Ephesians 1:3-6-Blessed and worthy of praise be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms in Christ, just as [in His love] He chose us in Christ [actually selected us for Himself as His own] before the foundation of the world, so that we would be holy [that is, consecrated, set apart for Him, purpose-driven] and blameless in His sight. In love

Even before He made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God decided to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to Himself through Jesus Christ. He wanted to do this, and it gave him great pleasure.

When you placed your confidence and complete trust in Jesus, you were adopted by God. You have full access to God’s resources and identity. There’s nothing you could have done to earn this position—it has been freely given to you by God, through faith in Jesus.

If you ever feel rejected or unloved, remind yourself that you are God’s choice and there is a place for you in His kingdom. All you have to do is accept His love and invitation into His divine family. When we walk in the full acceptance and awareness of His love, our lives are changed. We can change the lives of others by sharing His real love with them. Beloved, be sure to live every day with the confidence that you are WANTED and loved by the Almighty God.

It is not about who you are but about the One calling you into His purpose.

Reflections: When you approach God the Father with assurance in that truth, that you are His child, it automatically shifts the dynamics of your prayers. There is less fear and more freedom.

Prayer: “Father, Thank You for choosing me.  You created me in Your heart before the world began, and when the time was perfect, You wove me together in my mother’s womb and gave me a soul that would long to be filled with You.  You watched me as I grew up, and one day Your sweet Spirit tugged on my heart and whispered to me that I was lost and separated, and that You wanted me to come home.  You gave me faith to believe in You, and showed me the condition of my sinful heart, and granted me the willingness to repent.  It was all grace, and it was all Your choosing.  How I thank You for that!  Help us always ”Excerpt From Grace & Glory _
