2 Corinthians 9:8 It is impossible to exaggerate the dimensions and detail of the grace of God! Plunge into the extravagance of grace where he exhibits the extreme dynamics of his bountiful dealing with us! We are already advantaged far beyond any calculation of personal merit to be completely self-sufficient at all times in every possible situation that we might face! The overflow thereof amply supplies the needs of others in many creative ways to do good! MIRROR
In challenging financial times, our natural tendency might be to hold tightly to what we have. It’s human nature to want to conserve resources. Nevertheless, the Bible encourages us to approach giving from a place of faith and gratitude. In 2 Corinthians 9:6-8, Paul reminds us of a powerful principle. “Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly. Whoever sows generously will also reap generously.” Generosity isn’t just about the amount given; it’s about the heart and faith behind the act.
In times of financial hardship, giving might seem counterintuitive. Yet, God often blesses our small offerings in ways we can’t imagine. The widow who gave two coins gave more in God’s eyes than those who gave large sums. She gave out of faith and gratitude (Mark 12:41-44). God sees our hearts, and when we give, no matter how small, He honors our faith and generosity.
Generosity is a form of gratitude in action. When we give, we acknowledge that all we have is from God and trust Him to continue providing. Generosity opens our hearts and hands to accept even more from God. It aligns us with His will. When we give cheerfully, we show God’s generous nature, and He loves to bless a cheerful giver.
He can make us to have enough in all things; and to be content with what we have. God gives not only enough for us. He provides surplus so we may supply the wants of others. This surplus should be as seed to be sown. We must show the reality of our subjection to the gospel, by works of charity. This will be for the credit of our profession, and to the praise and glory of God. Let us try to copy the example of Christ. We should stay unwearied in doing good. It is more blessed to give than to get. Blessed be God for the unspeakable gift of his grace. He enables and inclines some of his people to bestow upon others. Others are grateful for it. Blessed be his glorious name to all eternity for Jesus Christ, that inestimable gift of his love. Through him, this and every other good thing, about life and godliness, are freely given unto us. These gifts are beyond all expression, measure, or bounds. Bible Hub
Money bestowed in charity might seem wasted to the carnal mind. However, it is like a seed sown when given with the right principles. From this, one can expect a valuable increase. It should be given carefully. Like other good works, works of charity should be done with thought and design. Bible Hub

Reflections:• Take a moment today to consider how you can be generous with your time, resources, or money. This is important even in a season of financial strain. Perhaps it’s a small donation, volunteering your time, or simply sharing encouragement with someone in need. Trust that your generosity, even if it feels small, will be multiplied by God.
What is one small way you can be generous today, even if your resources are limited?
• How does practicing generosity change your outlook on your financial situation?
• In what ways has God blessed you in return for your generosity in the past?
Prayer: Lord, help me to grow in my generosity. Help me to trust in Your provision and to have faith that You will do what you promised. Increase my heart for generosity and give me the courage to step out in faith.
