Trusting an Unchanging God in a Changing World

Heb.13:8 — “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever.”

“Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.” Hebrews‬ ‭13:8‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Jesus Christ is the same for all ages. His Word never changes. He never changes. He is the starting point and ending. He is Alpha and Omega. He is everything in between. He holds the future in His hands. Time obeys His Command. He stands alone and no one can defeat Him.

The same God of the Bible is the same God of today, tomorrow and forevermore. Cultures will change. Kingdoms will rise and fall. Kings will change. But God does not change. His promise still stands. His Word still stands. He sits on the Throne forever. Choose to trust Him. Choose to serve the God who changes not.

Jesus Christ is for you, and He is with you. He is consistent and dynamic. God is all-knowing, all-powerful, all-consuming and He cares about your needs. God cares about your circumstances. He is all-powerful and yet full of mercy. He changes not. Let your heart follow after Him. Let your soul crave after Him. God cares for you, and He desires to commune with you. God is faithful and He changes not.

What is cool and popular changes every few days. What is healthy or good for you differs from one study to the next. Our world is changing so fast and we’re all just trying to keep up. I think that you’d agree with me that it is EXHAUSTING.

When everything changes all the time, it seems impossible to stay grounded. It feels like the rug could be pulled from under your feet at any minute. You may lose joy in the current. It’s also easy to lose hope for the future.

Remember, Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever. His character is unchanging, His goodness is everlasting, and His grace knows no limits. His words hold profound meaning, transcending time. His power over sin, death, and shame is enduring, conquering every challenge we face. Embracing this truth offers us an unshakable foundation and the inner strength to persevere through any trial.

‘Sir, my concern is not whether God is on our side; my greatest concern is to be on God’s side, for God is always right.’ – Abraham Lincoln

Reflections: Christ is the same in the Old Testament Day. as in the gospel day, and will be so to his people forever, equally merciful, powerful, and all-sufficient. He still fills the hungry. He encourages the trembling. He welcomes repenting sinners. Yet, he rejects the proud and self-righteous. He abhors mere profession. He teaches all whom he saves to love righteousness and to hate iniquity.

Prayer: Father, we thank You for Your unfailing love and the continuing power of Your healing touch. We acknowledge that You remain the same yesterday, today, and forever. In our times of need, we turn to You, seeking Your healing in every aspect of our lives. Pour Your healing grace upon us, Lord, and restore our bodies, minds, emotions, and spirits. May we be vessels of Your healing power, extending Your love and compassion to others. In Your precious name, we pray. Amen.
