What a phenomenal week it was to witness the incredible young students in action at this year’s Robotics camp. I was astounded by the amazing inventions these young scientists created—fantastic work, guys! Additionally, I must commend the students of Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate High School and their teacher, Mr. Fernandez, for doing an incredible job in supporting and assisting the students. I hope you’ll explore more about this amazing Robotics camp here in Tampa.
Nonprofit CANDO’s robotics camp training scientists of tomorrow
The Caribbean-American population continues to grow in Tampa Bay, and there is one local organization that’s going the extra mile to provide these families with summer activities that are designed specifically for them. This is the first summer that the nonprofit organization, the Caribbean American National Development Organization, also known as CANDO, is hosting a robotics camp for kids ages 9 through 12. “I’ve learned how robotics, like robots, can help us with worldwide problems,” said 10-year-old Tristan Rouse. See video of CANDO’S Robotic Summer camp And Brooks-DeBartolo High School’s robotic team hosted a summer camp where they can share their love for robotics and engineering with kids.
