THE ROLE OF MINISTRY OF HELPS

And God has appointed in the church, first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, various kinds of tongues. 1 Corinthians 12:28 NASB

The Ministry of Helps is a great Bible way to be fulfilled in your life as you serve God in the local church as a part of His Kingdom. Those in the Ministry of Helps learn to give freely of their time, energy, and talents to the work of the ministry in whatever area they serve. Every believer in the body of Christ should find a place in the Ministry of Helps. We all have a specific task and purpose that God is calling us to, and we need to begin serving and God will lead us into those specific places He has for us.

⦁ Financial
⦁ Practical

The more believers help the more the church/ministry/organization will flourish. God is able to add to the church/ministry daily as we are prepared for the growth. The more that the members of the organization can do to help in the vision the more the ministry leaders can be in the Word and prayer and the more revelation God can bring to a body to become all that God has for them both as individuals and as a corporate body.

HELPS MINISTRY LESSON 1
I. INTRODUCTION TO THE HELPS

Every Christian is called to be a servant. This is the first calling every Christian receives upon being born again. Don’t worry about being a missionary abroad or the next Rev. Billy Graham if you can’t first be a servant in the local church.

If any man desire to be first, the same shall be last of all, and servant of all (Mark 9:35).
For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more (1 Corinthians 9:19).
your faith in God has become known everywhere. Therefore we do not need to say anything about it, for they themselves report what kind of reception you gave us. They tell how you turned to God from idols to serve [slave] the living and true God, (1 Thessalonians 1:8b,9).

HELPING THE LOCAL CHURCH

Every local church has a unique calling and personality, but each church needs help in carrying out the mission and calling God has placed on that local body. ALL HANDS ON DECK The pastor of a church can be likened to the captain of a ship. The captain sets the course, steers the ship, calls the directions, determines the port of call, and even the type of mission; but he requires the help from a crew to get the ship up and running. God has set “helps” in the church, quite simply, because the local church needs help carrying out the vision God has given it. Now I want to share with you 4 types of Helps Ministry that you can utilize successfully to help your local church, ministry, organization flourish and grow. God is able to add to the church daily as we are prepared for the growth.
