Set Apart for His Purpose

For you [who are born-again have been reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, sanctified and] are all children of God [set apart for His purpose with full rights and privileges] through faith in Christ Jesus. Galatians 3:26 AMP

3:26-29 Real Christians enjoy great privileges under the gospel; and are no longer accounted servants, but sons; not now kept at such a distance, and under such restraints as the Jews were. Having accepted Christ Jesus as their Lord and Saviour, and relying on him alone for justification and salvation, they become the sons of God. But no outward forms or profession can secure these blessings; for if any man has not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. Bible Hub

When we lack self-awareness and fail to recognize the depths of our true selves, including our inherent strengths and unique qualities, we become vulnerable to the limited opinions and experiences of others. We exhaust ourselves in futile attempts to prove our worth to those who fail to perceive our genuine identity. However, as followers of Jesus Christ, our identity is firmly anchored in Him. It is not the societal labels imposed upon us that define our worth; rather, it is who God declares us to be that holds profound significance. God’s Word reveals our true identity as His beloved children: “So in Christ Jesus, you are all children of God through faith” (Galatians 3:26, NIV).

In Christ, our past no longer defines us; we have been given a new beginning. As 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NIV) assures us, “The old has passed away; behold, the new has come!” This verse brings hope and encouragement, reminding believers that their identity is now firmly rooted in Christ. The former patterns of thinking, behaving, and experiencing spiritual separation have been replaced by a life transformed by His grace, marked by continuous growth and sanctification as devoted followers of Christ.

By anchoring our identity in alignment with God’s truth, we can dismiss the deceptive words spoken by others, including the Enemy. It is through the profound discovery of our true identity in Christ that our lives experience radical transformation. Let us embark on a transformative journey, delving into the depths of our identity in Christ, and witness how it unveils profound meaning and purpose in our existence.

“My self-esteem is secure when it’s based on the opinions of My Creator.”
