And I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, saying, “To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever!”
Revelations 5:13-14
We see in today’s devotional that all creation will praise King Jesus. In that praise they—and we—will ascribe to Him all the worth and glory that He is due. By our worship, we are beginning the glorification of the King. It is important that our praise be focused on who he is and what He has done. We must worship privately, and we must worship publicly.
John turns and He sees a puzzle. He sees the Lion of the tribe of Judah. Instead of a fearsome beast, though, he sees “a Lamb standing, as though it had been slain.” John sees a truly precious truth before him. Jesus is both Lion and Lamb. Jesus’ enemy threw their worst at him—death on a cross. And Jesus died. Only He did not stay dead. He rose from the dead, showing us that He can and will overcome the worst.
The symbolism helps us understand His power and authority. He has complete power and He sees all things. He has total authority to take up this scroll. Once He does, those in the throne room worship the Lamb.
Jesus our Messiah conquered sin, Satan and earth not by sword but through dying for His people. As we wait for His return, we labor, contending against His enemies. We do not use earthly weapons, tools or tactics. Instead, we proclaim the gospel faithfully. By this people will come into the kingdom and our lives are made right and sanctified.
All creatures should proclaim thy greatness and adore thy majesty.
DIVINE PRAISE AND WORSHIP
It is matter of joy to all the world, to see that God deals with men in grace and mercy through the Redeemer. He governs the world, not merely as a Creator, but as our Saviour. The harps were instruments of praise; the vials were full of odours, or incense, which signify the prayers of the saints: prayer and praise should always go together. Christ has redeemed his people from the bondage of sin, guilt, and Satan. He has not only purchased liberty for them, but the highest honour and preferment; he made them kings and priests; kings, to rule over their own spirits, and to overcome the world, and the evil one; and he makes them priests; giving them access to himself, and liberty to offer up spiritual sacrifices. What words can more fully declare that Christ is, and ought to be worshipped, equally with the Father, by all creatures, to all eternity! Happy those who shall adore and praise in heaven, and who shall for ever bless the Lamb, who delivered and set them apart for himself by his blood. How worthy art thou, O God, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, of our highest praises! All creatures should proclaim thy greatness and adore thy majesty. Bible Hub

Daily Reflections: May your worship experience and your prayer life draw you closer in awe and reverence to our unique Savior, Jesus Christ.
Daily Prayer: Glorious Father, thank you for the paradox of the cross where you showed all of creation what true wisdom, what true strength, and what true glory is. Thank you, Jesus, that for all ages I will be able to praise you for the glory you displayed on the cross. Help me now live the life of one who knows what true strength, true wisdom, and true glory looks like by having the same mind that Jesus had.
