The Power of God’s Goodness

The eyes of all look to you, and you give them their food in due season. You open your hand; you satisfy the desire of every living thing.

Psalm 145:15-16

Life and faith are released when we speak forth the truth of God’s word. Psalm 145 in packed full of truth about the goodness of God. Psalm 145:16 says: “You open Your hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing.” God leads us with an open hand. Think of that! He is always opening His hand to give, to bless, to heal, to encourage, to strengthen, and to die for us! He opens His hand and satisfies. Is there an area of your life that’s not satisfied? Ask God and thank Him for His open hand. It will satisfy you. HE is the one who opens His hand. We don’t have to pry it open. We don’t have to beg and plead. He’s chosen to do it. Jesus said, “Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.” (Luke 12:32)

He is very ready to hear and answer the prayers of his people. He is present every where; but in a special way he is nigh to them, as he is not to others. He is in their hearts, and dwells there by faith, and they dwell in him. He is nigh to those that call upon him, to help them in all times of need. He will be nigh to them, that they may have what they ask, and find what they seek, if they call upon him in truth and sincerity. And having taught men to love his name and holy ways, he will save them from the destruction of the wicked. May we then love his name, and walk in his ways, while we desire that all flesh should bless his holy name for ever and ever. -Bible Hub

“What comes to our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us.”

A.W. Tozer

God has so ordained it, in harmony with His holy nature, and with ours, that waiting on Him should be the honor we give Him. Let us bring Him the service gladly and truthfully; He will reward it abundantly. ‘The eyes of all wait upon Thee, and Thou givest them their meat in due season. ‘Dear soul, God provides in Nature for the creatures He has made: how much more will He provide in Grace for those He has redeemed. Learn to say of every want, and every failure, and every lack of needful grace: I have waited too little upon God, or He would have given me in due season all I needed. And say then too: ‘My soul wait thou only upon God!’Andrew Murray
