“May God Himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

One of the most important keys to healing is to allow God to heal your soul. Healing starts on the inside. The Bible describes the soul as our mind, will, and emotions. It is the place where we harbor hurts and pains, disappointments, bad memories, and the internal damage people and life have inflicted on us. Unhealthiness in our soul affects every area of our life. It can cause us to think wrong thoughts, have toxic emotions, make flawed decisions, and engage in harmful behaviors. It affects our relationships and overall quality of life. But most relevant to you as you seek physical healing, unhealthiness in our soul can cause sickness and disease in our body and block our healing. Often, physical healing will not come until a person gets healed in their soul first.
Studies show that many physical ailments are connected to negative thoughts and emotions. That is our soul, even though science and medicine don’t use that term. Every stressful, angry, or negative thought we think has an emotion attached to it, and these toxic thoughts and emotions directly affect our physical health. They create a cascade of electrical and chemical responses in our body that weaken our immune system and open the door to disease.
The Apostle John says we will enjoy good health as our soul prospers. We can pray till the cows come home and have everybody else praying for us, but many times physical healing won’t come until our soul gets healthy. For example, if we are harboring unforgiveness in our soul toward anyone, it is one of the biggest blocks to receiving healing and God’s blessings. Jesus said that if we are not in right standing with God, He can’t bless us like He wants to.
In your journey to physical healing, spend time each day doing soul work with God—repenting and letting go of unforgiveness and other soul pollutants and asking God to heal your soul from past hurts. God wants to heal and restore your soul, not just your body, but He needs you to be a willing partner in the process.
“A constant state of frustration is actually a subtle form of hostility rooted in anger at other people, at situations, and at circumstances.”

Daily Prayer: “Dear Lord, I submit my body to You, the health of every cell, organ and tissue. I acknowledge You alone as my wonderful, divine Creator. Only You have the divine wisdom to bring my body back to health and wholeness. I place myself in Your hands, and I choose now to trust in Your unfailing love. I receive Your healing power. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
Daily Action: SELAH: Slow down your pace, take time to pray, and ask the Father what areas you need to detox. Listen to Him and ask for His Spirit to do the work in your life. I encourage you to take notes so you can remember them daily.
