Since we have a great High Priest, Jesus, the Son of God who has passed through the heavens from death into new life with God, let us hold tightly to our faith. 15 For Jesus is not some high priest who has no sympathy for our weaknesses and flaws. He has already been tested in every way that we are tested; but He emerged victorious, without failing God. 16 So let us step boldly to the throne of grace, where we can find mercy and grace to help when we need it most. Hebrews 4:14-16 VOICE
God-Confidence
Our self-confidence has a direct impact on whether or not we reach our God-given potential. Oftentimes we find ourselves battling with our own fears, doubts and insecurities, questioning if we have what it takes. So how do we actually become the person God designed us to be? How do we embrace our true confidence?
This isn’t an uncommon question to ask. One quick Google search on being confident will surface over 225 million results filled with tips, tricks and how to’s.
However, if your primary source isn’t the Holy Spirit, you’ll find yourself on a hamster wheel—exhausted without getting anywhere. God is your source. Acknowledging this simple truth will shift how you look at being confident. Wait patiently on the Lord. He’ll guide you and give you everything you need to become who He designed you to be.
As believers of God on a mission, it’s our job to live devoted to our heavenly Father so that we can experience all He has for us. So, today confidently sit at the feet of Jesus. You’re His Beloved.
We do not live by the work of our hands, but by the bread and Word that God supplies.
Voice Translation

Today’s Prayer: Prayer Lord, help me to experience a new assurance that is only found in you. May the assurance of the King who lives inside of me fill my heart with unwavering faith, trust and God-confidence. I am on a mission after you, Lord. In total surrender and full dependence, I ask you to guide me as I work vigorously and rest peacefully in your presence. I want to become all that you created me to be. Lead me to live out my unique story and I will follow you with courage and boldness. Amen!
Today’s Action:
- READ THE WORD OF GOD. The word of God is LIVING, ACTIVE, and SHARPER than any double-edged sword. When we choose to open up the word of God, then we find what true life, true love, and the real truth are.
- EMPTY DISTRACTIONS. There are so many good things in this world but if something is not propelling you forward to Jesus, then you might have to re-examine what and why it is even in your life.
- SURROUND YOURSELF WITH PEOPLE WHO STAY CLOSE TO GOD. Community is so important, especially a Jesus-loving community. Ask God to bring the right people into your life who can push you toward Him in the valley moments and celebrate Him in the mountaintop moments.
- My challenge for you today is to write a list of any distractions that might be getting in the way of your relationship with God. Write these distractions on a piece of paper and invite God to help you eliminate them; wait patiently, and trust Him. You will find space to breathe again.
