What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him?
James 2:14ESV
Are you struggling to understand the relationship between faith and works? Do you want to know how to live out your faith in a way that brings glory to God and helps those in need?
The message of faith and works is not a new one. As believers in Christ, we know that faith must come first. Through it we come to know Christ and are transformed. Faith allows us to be seated in heavenly places with Christ. But it is not enough to have faith alone. Our faith must lead to action, to works. We are called to help those in need, to be a source of aid and comfort in times of disaster. As believers, we are commissioned by God to walk in obedience and to live out our faith in tangible ways.
Don’t you realize that faith without works is useless, like a glove without a hand or a hat without a head?

A Shallow, Insincere, and Hypocritical Faith.
We must have faith in Christ before anything else but let us not stop there. Let our faith lead us to action, to works that bring glory to God and help those in need. May our faith and our works be inextricably linked, a testament to the transforming power of Christ in our lives. The same is true with faith. Without actions, faith is useless. By itself, it’s as good as dead. I know what you’re thinking: “OK, you have faith. And I have actions. Now let’s see your faith without works, and I’ll show you a faith that works (James 2:17-18 Voice).”
Are you living out your faith through your works? Are you taking action to help those in need, to aid and comfort those who are hurting? Or are you content with simply believing in Christ, without letting that belief transform your life? Are you truly following Jesus where He leads you, or are you only willing to go where it’s comfortable and convenient? These are tough questions, but they are important ones. Let us examine ourselves and make sure that our faith is leading us to action, to works that bring glory to God and serve others.
I am strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. I fix my eyes on Jesus as I stand on the Word of God, knowing that I go from strength to strength, increasing in victorious power.I choose today to receive the abundant life God has provided for me in Jesus Christ. I choose to receive God’s blessing. I am making the decision to win.

Today’s Declaration And Prayer: Though your beginning was small, may God increase and bless the diligent work of your hands. May He increase you beyond your expectations. May He deliver you from your fears. May He conquer your foes and crush every frustration. May His favor shield you. May His favor cover you. May His favor go before you. May you find favor with kings. May He build your platforms. May He make your feet like hinds’ feet. May He strengthen your borders. May He enlarge you like Jabez. May He work through your hands. May He exceed all your expectations. “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,” Ephesians 3:20 KJV
Today’s Action: Are you living out your faith through your works? Are you taking action to help those in need, to aid and comfort those who are hurting? Or, are you content with simply believing in Christ, without letting that belief transform your life? Are you truly following Jesus where He leads you, or are you only willing to go where it’s comfortable and convenient? These are tough questions, but they are important ones. Let us examine ourselves and make sure that our faith is leading us to action, to works that bring glory to God and serve others.
