Do You Believe?

By faith Abraham, when he was called [by God], obeyed by going to a place which he was to receive as an inheritance; and he went, not knowing where he was going.

Hebrews 11:8

The most fantastic thing about having faith in Jesus is that through faith we can have a relationship with Him and spend eternity in Heaven. God loves us so much that even though we all sin and choose to make choices that go against His best for us, He still wants to have a relationship with us. When Jesus came to the earth, He lived a perfect life without sin, and He died to take the punishment that we deserved because of our sin. But when Jesus rose back to life, He defeated sin and death once for all. Now we can be forgiven, have a relationship with Him, and spend eternity with God in Heaven.

There’s just one thing we have to do to have all of that—believe. All we need is faith. There’s nothing we can do to earn His love, and good actions can’t get us to Heaven; only faith can. We have access to the God Who created us and Who loves us more than anyone else; all we have to do is believe. To state the truth simply, revelation knowledge of the Word of God determines how you react to the situations you are facing today.

Faith is the spiritual force that sustains life.

Do You Believe?

Revelation knowledge is an essential part of living in victory. When God reveals to you something from His Word, that revelation always causes you to become positive. You’ll have a positive attitude about what you believe. For instance, do you really believe:

  • You are special to God?
  • You are God’s most prized possession?
  • You are washed by the blood of Jesus from every sin, weakness, and failure?
  • You are holy, blameless, and above reproach in His sight?
  • You are crowned with glory and honor?
  • You have authority over every circumstance in your life?
  • God wants to turn every adversity into a victory?
  • God wants to turn every stumbling block into a steppingstone?
  • God wants to give you good things?

If you don’t have a revelation of these Bible truths, then you can’t walk in them. Mental assent of God’s Word is not enough. A lack of revelation knowledge will always cause you to live way below your privileges in Christ. However, once you receive revelation of how special you are to God, then you will be able to walk in every good thing that He has for you. I pray the Father may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him.- Jerry Savelle

You are God’s most prized possession. In fact, in His mind you are His prized possession above the stars, above the moon, above the heavens, and above all His creative handiwork.

Psalm 8:3-5

Today’s Action: If you have your faith in Jesus, today is a great day to tell someone else about Him! Who needs to hear about the relationship that is possible with God through faith? If you have never chosen to put your faith in Him, you can do that today, too! Choose today to share your faith or to put your trust in Jesus.

Today’s Prayer: Thank you, Father, that You are always mindful of me, thinking thoughts of love, good, and favor toward me. Thank you that I am your most prized possession. I ask You, Father, that as I meditate on Your Word, You give me revelation knowledge and make Your truths real to me.
